A problem that I’ve had since buying Casuarina is why the head/toilet/loo continues to fill after flushing when the seacock is open. The spill was minor but the bowl keep filling into the bilge – not ideal. Having known that the previous owner would have had it installed professionally I assumed that it must have been a faulty component in the macerator, but after replacing this the leak continued so I headed back to the drawing board.

After reviewing the manual (http://webserver.flak.no/vbilder/06612.pdf) it was evident that if the toilet was installed below the waterline a vented loop was required on both the input and output sides, but my installation only had one on the output. So I purchased a 25mm Vented Loop and 2 metres of hose, used hole-saws to drill out some holes and installed the input vented loop. Leak fixed, but I still close the seacock when toilet is not in use just to be safe. Finished photo below:
